The fire protection system for SinorixTM al-deco STD machine tools now boasts more than 6,000 installations throughout Europe.
It is the ideal solution for medium-sized machine tools in the working area. With a very low investment value compared to the value of the machine, it guarantees a high operational safety both in the presence of operators and in unmanned shifts. Its control is equipped with a self-monitoring and control system with long-term memory storage, thus allowing the reconstruction of events and in the event of an accident. The system being pneumatically implemented is absolutely effective even in the absence of electricity.
The automatic fire-fighting system is activated by depressurization of the detection circuit, which consists of the pressurized LIFEDSTM heat sensor at 15 bar and which is set at 110 ° c. This is composed of a high density polymer coated with sintered metal to increase heat conduction. Given its characteristics it can be placed on all critical places where the flame tends to flow: suction ducts, inspection openings, etc. Furthermore, it is positioned outside the working area of the machine tool, causing no unwanted bulk. It is insensitive to electromagnetic interference, oil, dirt, vibrations, water and does not need any special maintenance, as opposed to systems based on electronic technologies (UV or IR sensors), an incorrect activation of the automatic system fire fighting is in fact impossible.
The depressurization of the detection line causes the pneumatic valve to open and the pressure switches close the circuit to the emergency signal of the “EMERGENCY STOP” machine, putting the machine tool in safety and incapacitating any action by the operator towards the machine.
Another channel provides output to the Fire Alarm panel of the plant which, depending on the case, may or may not be connected to the Fire Brigade command or to other notification / rescue request systems. Once the extinction is complete, the optical and acoustic signals of the system can be silenced by the reset key and resume working in single cycle until the system is restored. The Sinorix™ al-deco STD version is the most suitable solution for retrofitting on already installed machines when, for example, technology-based lubricants for water-based lubricants and oil-based lubricants are used for technological reasons.
